At 15:14 we were called to a fire in the open at a farm involving a manure pile. An appliance from Saltash was diverted to the incident whilst returning from standby duties in Plymouth. On arrival crews found approximately 30 tonnes of manure on fire and requested assistance from a second appliance for water supplies which was mobilised from Liskeard, along with a wholetime Station Manager.

Crews used a telehandler from the farm to create a large fire break between the fire and nearest buildings and extinguished the fire using hose reel jets.
