Two appliances from St Austell and one from St Dennis and a Flexi Duty Officer attended this incident.
On arrival the crews found there to be smoke issuing from the detached 2 storey property measuring approx 5m by 4m, the crews used 4 breathing apparatus and 2 hosereel jet to extinguish the fire.
The male occupant was already out of the property and alternative accommodation was arranged for him.
The cause was believed to accidental.
There are no further details for this incident.
