At 11:02 this morning, Critical Control started receiving multiple 999 calls reporting a residential fire on Coast Road, Porthtowan.

Crews from Tolvaddon, Truro and Perranporth were immediately mobilised, along with a whole time officer for support.

On arrival, crews confirmed the roof of the property was well alight and requested a further 2 appliances be mobilised. Following this, appliances from Tolvaddon and Truro were mobilised.

In total, there are currently 5 appliances, 3 officers, 1 Incident Command Unit and 1 Operational Support Vehicle assigned to this incident.

UPDATE 1205HRS - This property is a single storey detached bungalow which measures approx. 12 metres by 7 metres. The building is fully involved in fire. Crews on scene have 'made up' for a Water Carrier. This is now en route from Helston.
