Combine Harvester Fire

Fire appliances from Saltash and Liskeard, supported by the Water Carrier and an officer attended a call to a combine harvester on fire at 22:15. On arrival the crew confirmed the vehicle was well alight and the fire was spreading to surrounding dry stubble and hedgerows. Firefighters used hose reels and beaters to prevent the fire spreading to surrounding fields, the vehicle was destroyed by the blaze.
