One fire appliance from Penzance and one fire appliance from Hayle are in attendance at a fire involving heather.

The crews are using two hosereels and beaters to extinguish the fire involving about 50 square meters of heather.

Update at 1900hrs: Good progress is being made. The crews are dampening down to prevent further spread.

Update at 13:50 (10/08/2022):

Fire Service resources are in attendance at this location due to a reignition.

At this time six pumping appliances, a water carrier, Incident Command Unit, and 4x4 appliance are on scene.

one appliance has remained in attendance through out the night damping down hotspots and preventing fire spread.
An appliance is likely to remain in attendance today (11-08-22)
They will continue to monitor hotspot and protect the surrounding area to avoid further fire spread.
