One appliance from Newquay attended this incident, on arrival the crew found a small area of gorse smouldering, this was extinguished using a water backpack, the cause was a disposable barbecue.
Members of the public are urged to use disposable barbecues in a safe environment and to fully ensure that they are fully extinguished and cold after use and also ensure the surrounding area has been damped down to prevent a fire.
