Crews from Delabole were mobilised after calls taken for this incident, once on scene, the crew from Delabole found an area covering 70 by 70 metres alight on the cliff edge, wildfire beaters and hosereels were put in place, a request was made for further resources and an appliance from Bude as well as an Officer attended, crews were committed to prevent escalation of the incident.
Update at 1209 hours: The water carrier from Wadebridge has now been requested to attend to assist with water supplies.

Update 1800 hours: Delabole are remaining at the scene at this time, monitoring hot spots near the cliff face. The fire will possibly smoulder overnight, but due to the danger to firefighter safety, no attendance will be made overnight.

Update 21:00 hours: An appliance from St Columb and a water carrier from Wadebridge remain on scene at this time.

Update 23:00 hours: All resources have left the scene.

Update 09:00 hours: Several repeat calls have been taken regarding this incident, at this time a Wildfire Officer is in attendance and is making an assessment of the scene, bearing in mind the close proximity of personnel working near the cliff edge.

Update 11:00 hours: The Wildfire Officer has been in consultation with English Heritage and The National Trust partners as to the location and impact of the fire. Members of the public should be aware of closures of the coastal footpath in the immediate vicinity of the area. Resources from Delabole will be attending.
