Critical control received a call at 03:51 stating a fire in the open can be seen in the area of St Merryn.

A crew from Padstow community fire station was mobilised. On arrival crews swiftly made up.

Crews from Wadebridge, Newquay and St Columb community fire stations were mobilised to assist with specials and further appliances alongside a wholetime officer.

Crews have stated there are multiple vehicles and caravans involved.

Incident is now being scaled back to one appliance which will be dampening down.
