Property Fire

Dracaena Avenue, Falmouth at 12/10/2022 01:37


On receipt of this call, the incident was classified as 'Person Reported', two appliances from Falmouth and one from Tolvaddon were mobilised, on arrival the crew confirmed that persons were reported and that there was smoke issuing from the property.
Two persons were quickly rescued from the property by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus, an ambulance, which had already been requested, was confirmed to be required at the scene.
The fire involves a three storey detached property measuring 10 by 10 metres, the fire is located on the lower ground floor, teams of firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are committed at this time with hosereel jets, main jets and thermal imaging cameras. Devon & Cornwall Police are in attendance and have closed the road.
There are no further details at this time.

Update 03:30 hours: The fire has now been confirmed as extinguished and all persons are accounted for. Crews are remaining on scene at this time.
The cause was classified as accidental. The occupants were made aware of the fire by a working smoke alarm system in the property.
