Fire Control were called by Police at 12:26 requesting assistance at a road traffic collision involving two vehicles, one of which had left the carriageway with a person still inside. Appliances were mobilised from Bodmin and Launceston along with the Rescue Tender and Wholetime Station Manager also from Bodmin.

On arrival crews assisted Cornwall Air Ambulance crews and a Critical Care Doctor to safely extricate the casualty using crash rescue equipment. The casualty has been taken by air to hospital.

The scene was made safe and handed over to police.
