At 15:45 the Critical Control Centre received a 999 call reporting smoke issuing from a residential building. Appliances from St Just and Penzance, along with a Wholetime Officer were mobilised.

Firefighters arrived on scene and requested additional appliances, St Ives and a second appliance from Penzance were mobilised.

Crews located the fire within the roof space and are using four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and one main jet.
