The island's fire crew responded to a 999 call reporting smoke inside a property.
Firefighters, some wearing breathing apparatus, used one hosereel, a thermal imaging camera and a ladder to extinguish a fire in the chimney of a wood burner. The fire was under control within an hour of the call and firefighters remained on scene for a further 20 minutes, to ensure that it was fully extinguished.
