Fire - Persons Reported

Fire Control received a 999 call reporting a fire in the lounge of a flat. Two appliances were mobilised from Falmouth Fire Station. The caller stated the room was fully involved in fire and that there were occupants in neighbouring flats who they were unable to wake up. The incident was therefore changed to 'Persons Reported' and a third appliance was mobilised from Tolvaddon Fire Station and a Group Manager from Truro.

On arrival the first appliance confirmed "one apartment well alight". The second appliance arrived shortly after and requested an ambulance for one casualty with smoke inhalation.

At 03:42 a request was made for any additional firefighters available at Falmouth Fire Station, and five firefighters were mobilised in the Operational Support Unit in response.

At 03:50 an assistance message was sent requested an Aerial Ladder Platform which was mobilised from Truro Fire Station.

At 03:59 a further assistance message was sent 'Make Pumps 4', which resulted in an appliance from Helston being mobilised.

UPDATE 04:37 - Persons Reported. 3 storey block of flats with basement measuring approximately 15m x 15m with fire on second floor. Evacuation in progress for fire affected building and neighbouring buildings. Incident now sectorised. Police and ambulance in attendance. Police have taken control of cordons and closed main road (Grove Place). 6 firefighters in breathing apparatus currently deployed inside the building.

UPDATE 05:11 Assistance message - 'Make Pumps 5 for BA (breathing apparatus)'

UPDATE 06:19 All persons now accounted for. Looking to downscale shortly to three appliances.
