The brigade was called to a property at Farfield Place Pentire Avenue in Newquay this morning, where a nieghbour had reported a smell of burning coming from an empty property next door. Two appliances from Newquay fire station and one appliance from St Columb fire station were mobilised. A fire in the kitchen was discovered by the first attending crew. Two Firefighters wearing Breathing Apparatus extinguished the fire using one hose reel and then ventilated the property using a Positive Pressure Ventilation fan.
