Gorse Fire - 4 Pump Fire

Twenty Five firefighters from St Ives, Penzance and Camborne attended a fire covering about three hectares, involving gorse and bushes. Some firefighters wore breathing apparatus and four jets were used to bring the fire under control by 2030hrs. Crews then remained at the scene damping down for some time returning again in the morning to damp down remaining hotspots.
