Roof Fire - 6 Pump Fire

Fifty firefighters from Camborne, Redruth, Truro, Falmouth and Penzance fought for two and half hours to bring a fire in a three storey terraced building under control. The fire was in the roof space of the building, measuring 30 metres by 8 metres, with a restaurant on the ground floor with accommodation above. Firefighters, some wearing breathing apparatus, used hosereels and the aerial ladder platform to extinguish the fire.
Firefighters remained on scene for some time damping down, the last crew leaving at 1830hrs.
