Gas Bottle Fire

An appliance from St Austell which was providing "stand by" fire cover in Newquay Town Centre was mobilised to a call to a gas heater fire at 12:55 today. On arrival the crew confirmed a 13kg gas cylinder was venting and alight, Firefighters used breathing apparatus and a hose reel to extinguish the flames and make the cylinder safe.
