Several calls were received for this incident, which initially involved a car which was on fire.
Further calls stated the fire had spread to involve a shop. Initial resources mobilised came from Delabole, with further assistance provided by appliances from Bodmin and Wadebridge. Resources were supported by a whole time officer.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two high pressure hose reel jets to extinguish the premises and the vehicle.
The vehicle was completely destroyed by fire and a proportion of the shop front was damaged by heat and fire.
The fire is now confirmed out and resources are returning to their home stations.
