Property Fire

Carlidnick Lane, Mawnan Smith at 20/06/2006 00:05

Both appliances from Falmouth and an appliance from Helston were mobilised to this address, on arrival at the incident crews found smoke issuing from the property, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hosereel to extinguish the fire which involved a fridge freezer, the positive pressure fan was also used to ventilate the property. Fortunately the occupants of the property were alerted by a smoke detector and had exited the premises before the arrival of the Brigade. Paramedics attended and checked the condition of the occupants. Once again this incident proves that instillation of smoke detectors prove to be a life saving piece of equipment.
