All appliances from St Ives, one from Penzance, and one from Camborne were mobilised to a reported fire on the top floor of the Cafe Pasta in St Ives. The aerial ladder platform from Newquay and the Command Support Unit from Truro also attended. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a jet and hosereels at the incident to extinguish the fire. The cause was believed to be accidental. Crews were delayed for a time, the last appliance returned to station by approximately 1800 hours.
