On receipt of this call, one appliance from Padstow was mobilised. On arrival they found smoke issuing from a refuse lorry, crews extinguished a fire and proceeded to remove rubbish from the lorry and continued to damp down. The cause of the fire was a disposable barbecue. Members of the public are reminded to act responsibly when using disposable barbecues and to ensure that they follow the safety advice provided with it and to ensure that it is disposed of safely when completely cold.
