The Critical Control Centre received a 999 call at 4:50am reporting a fire at a property in the Chacewater area. Two appliances and a wholetime officer were mobilised immediately from Tolvaddon and Truro Fire Stations.

On arrival the incident commander reported seeing large plums of smoke and requested an additional two appliances and a water carrier. These were mobilised from Tolvaddon and Falmouth Fire Stations.

At 5:44am further assistance was requested and appliances were mobilised from Perranporth and St Austell. These appliances were standing by providing cover at Tolvaddon and Truro, and were the quickest available appliances. Crews from Hayle, Helston and Falmouth are currently providing cover to those stations where resources are at this incident.

At 7:45am: Good progress is being made and crews are continuing to extinguish the fire. The water carrier from Wadebridge has been released from the incident and is returning home.

At 9:30am: Good progress is being made and crews continue to damp down. Relief crews from Truro and Tolvaddon are currently on scene handing over with the crews who have been there since the incident start.

At: 10:00 am: Resources are now leaving the scene and firefighters are monitoring for any further hot spots.

12:00 Fire fighting crew have now left scene. A fire investigation is being carried out at this location as cause of the fire is unknown.
