Pumping appliances from St Austell and Truro along with the Line Rescue Unit from Bodmin responded to this incident.
On arrival firefighters discovered a horse which had collapsed down an embankment and was stuck by fencing.
Animal rescue equipment was used to lift the horse who was handed over into the care of a vet.
