At 13:06 Fire Control received a 999 call reporting a possible fire in a flat in Hayle. Two appliances were mobilised from Tolvaddon and Penzance along with a Station Manager.


On arrival crews wearing breathing apparatus (BA) forced entry to the property and identified the smoke to be caused by a smoke bomb used for pest control.

We would ask that if you are having any sort of work carried out that may cause smoke to inform Fire Control beforehand on 0203 162 2240 to avoid resources being mobilised unnecessarily.
