Two fire appliances from St Austell Community Fire Station attended following a 999 call reporting a fire in a flat.
Firefighters, some wearing breathing apparatus, entered the flat on the first floor of a block, measuring approximately 15 metres by 20 metres. They found that a fire involving a saucepan was already out and they made sure the scene was safe, before venting the smoke.
