Two appliances from Callington and one appliance from Saltash attended a report of smoke coming from the roof of an empty premises. On arrival the crews found a small fire in a single storey derelict building, approximately 8 metres by 8 metres. The crews extinguished the fire using one hose reel and dispersed smoke logging to the rest of the building using a positive pressure ventilator fan. The fire was believed to have been started deliberately and Devon and Cornwall Police are investigating the matter.
