Fire Control were contacted by police requesting assistance as officers dealing with an incident had noticed smoke inside the railway station at Penzance. Two appliances were mobilised from Penzance.
On arrival crews found a small fire which was extinguished by two firefighters in breathing apparatus using a hose reel jet and positive pressure ventilation (PPV) fan.
The cause of the fire is suspected to be arson.
