Two appliances from St Austell and Mevagissey responded to this incident as well as a wholetime officer.

On arrival a fire involving a restaurant kitchen was discovered. Crews made pumps six and requested the attendance of the aerial ladder platform from Truro. The request additional resources were mobilised to the incident from St Dennis, Fowey and Lostwithiel. Specialist vehicles including the Incident Command Unit from Launceston, the Operational Support Vehicle from St Austell and the welfare vehicle from Perranporth also formed part of the attendance.

Crews have sectorised the incident and continue to make good progress.

The incident is scaling down and crews will continue to monitor the situation throughout the day.

18:30 Update. A fire investigation has been completed and the property has been handed back over to the owners. All appliances and officers have left the scene.

26/04/2024 - Three appliances from St Austell, Mevagissey and St Dennis returned to the site this evening to extinguish some hotspots.
