Two appliances from St Austell Fire Station and a Flexi Duty Officer attended this incident.
The fire occurred in the bedroom of a flat, the crews used one hosereel jet and one jet to extinguish the fire.
First aid was given by the crew to a 53 year old female occupant suffering from burns to the hand and smoke inhalation.
The fire is accidental and spread.
