At 03:35, Critical Control began receiving numerous 999 calls reporting a commercial building fire in Bude.

Two appliances from Bude were immediately mobilised, along with a whole time officer for support. Upon arrival, the first attending appliance requested further assistance from a further two appliances which were mobilised from Holsworthy and Hartland.

Firefighters on scene reported a kitchen area well alight and, donning breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet and safety jet to begin extinguishing the blaze.

Shortly after, a further two appliances were requested from the incident commander, which were mobilised from Delabole and Launceston.

In total, there are now 6 appliances, 2 whole time officers, an Incident Command Unit from Launceston and a Welfare Support Vehicle from Torpoint.

Crews are making good progress and remain on scene at this time.
