Heath Fire In Woodland On River Bank

One fire appliance from Truro Community Fire Station was to a report of a fire in woodland. On arrival, the fire crew used beaters to deal with the fire measuring approximately ten metres by ten metres that was on the river bank, with difficult access. A request was made for the fire boat to assist, which attended from Falmouth. A jet was used from the fire boat to extinguish the fire by 1720hrs.
