Critical Control received several repeat calls for this incident and appliances were mobilised from Newquay, St Columb and Perranporth along with a Flexi Duty Officer.

The fire was in a two storey end terraced property measuring approx 8m by 8m. The fire originated in the kitchen and the property was heavily smoke logged. The crews used four breathing apparatus and two hosereels to extinguish the fire. A 135m ladder was used to gain access to neighbouring properties to check for fire spread. The crews used cutting gear to cut away roof space and a shacs pack for safety.

A Fire Investigation Team will attend later today to confirm the cause of the fire.
