Hedge Fire

Two appliances attended a hedge fire on the A390 at St Ive. The crews found approximately 100 metres of hedge to be well alight and there was some concern for the crops in the adjoining field. The crews extinguished the fire using 2 hose reels. The fire was confined to the hedge and did not spread to the crops in the neighbouring fields. The cause of the fire was believed to be accidental.
