On reports of this incident, both appliances from Bodmin and an appliance from Lostwithiel attended. On arrival the fire was found to be in the kitchen and involved a chip pan which was fortunately out on arrival, the building was heavily smokelogged and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the building with a hosereel to inspect. The positive pressure fan was used to ventilate the property. West Country Ambulance attended and treated one person for the effects of smoke inhilation.
