Firefighters from St Mawes, Truro, Mevagissey, St Austell, Falmouth and Redruth were called to a property fire in the roof of a 3 storey property. Using a range of firefighting techniques 8 firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and more firefighters outside used hosereels to extinguish the fire. They worked really hard in hot conditions to ensure fire damage was limited to the top floor only and the rest of the house only suffered smoke damage.
A fire investigation was started last night and completed this morning. The cause of the fire has been determined as accidental.
