One appliance from St Austell attended a report of smoke. On arrival the crew found a large bonfire had gone out of control and spread to a nearby vehicle. One hose reel was used to extinguish the fire.

It should be noted that especially in these very dry conditions that care should be taken when lighting a bonfire. • Manage bonfires in a safe area, away from other flammable materials, with water close at hand.
