Again we have been called to a bonfire which has spread out of control. The bonfire caught one hectare of long grass on fire and one crew from St Austell attended and extinguished the fire using one hose reel and beaters.

It should be noted that especially in these very dry conditions that care should be taken when lighting a bonfire. • Manage bonfires in a safe area, away from other flammable materials, with water close at hand.
