Torpoint Ferry, Torpoint at 25/07/2006 08:35
At 08:35 the brigade received a call from the Torpoint Ferry company to say they had a fire on one of the ferries. Two appliances from Torpoint attended with a water safety vehicle from St Austell and the Fire Boat from Devon along with two appliances from Camels Head. This was a fire in a electrical transformer which was out on the arrival of the crews two breathing apparatus were used to check the area. The ferry venting system automatically vented any smoke from the ferry.
No further details available on this incident, there will be further reports as incidents of note occur.
