House Fire

Ventnor Terrace, St Ives at 27/07/2006 18:30


At 18:30 the brigade were called to a house fire at the above location, we received several repeat calls one of which stated that there was smoke issuing from the premises. Two appliances from St Ives, one appliance from Penzance and one appliance from Camborne attended. The fire was found to be in the kitchen it was caused accidentally and although the fire was confined to the kitchen, smoke had damaged the rest of the property. Crews used four breathing apparatus, one jet and one hose reel to deal with this incident and also used a positive pressure ventilating fan to remove the smoke from the building.
