At 11:54 the brigade were called to a bonfire which had spread to a fence. Two appliances from Penzance attended and found the fire had spread further from the bonfire to a hedge and into a shed measuring 10 metres by 10 metres. Crews extinguished the fire using 3 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel and 1 jet and the cause was accidental.

Please be aware of safety when having a controlled bonfire - ensure that fire is on open ground and that, should it spread, there is a means to extinguish it safely, such as with a garden hose.
