Fire Control received several calls reporting a very large fire in the Tremar area of Liskeard at 11:30 today, an appliance from Liskeard was mobilised to investigate. On arrival the crew found a very large uncontrolled bonfire containing timber measuring approximately 50 square meters. The Liskeard appliance requested two further pumping appliances and a Water Carrier for water relay and personnel. Using 2 hose reels jets and two main jets, the Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames and return any smouldering material to the burn pit for the owner to monitor.
