Fire Control received multiple 999 calls at 17:25 to a fire at the Community Centre in Trelander, Truro. The fire is believed to have originated on the ground floor but has spread to the roof void. The attendance has escalated in accordance with the severity of the incident and there are currently 6 appliances, an aerial ladder platform and a BA support vehicle on scene. Crews are using 4 sets of breathing apparatus and 3 hose reel jets to tackle the fire. Members of the public in the vicinity are being warned to keep doors and windows closed to avoid smoke plumes.

Update - crews extinguished the fire and will return to the incident ground this morning for further investigations.
