Fire Involving Battery Bank In Plant Room

Crews from St Keverne, Mullion, Falmouth and Tolvaddon attended a call to a fire involving an uninterrupted supply battery bank inside a plant room. The plant room was heavily smoke logged on crews arrival, firefighters used 4 breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet, gas monitor, carbon dioxide and dry powder extinguishers to extinguish the fire. The fire was confirmed out at 11:10, Firefighters ventilated the room and remained for a time cooling the batteries. There are no more details available on this incident.
