Two fire appliances from Launceston and Bodmin were initially mobilised to this incident. Due to several calls reporting the building to be well alight, a third appliance was mobilised from Callington.

A water carrier from Liskeard was requested while crews were en-route due to the large plume of smoke sighted from the incident.
Once in attendance, a fourth appliance was requested. This came from Liskeard. A drone was also requested to carry out an aerial survey.

The incident involved a single storey barn measuring 60 by 20 metres used as a workshop. Firefighters used breathing apparatus, hose reel, safety and covering jets to extinguish the fire.
There is no further information available at this time.

The fire was confirmed as accidental and spread.
