Multiple calls were received by Fire Control at 21:18 informing them of a fire in a commercial premises in Porthtowan. Two appliances from Tolvaddon were mobilised along with two whole time officers.

On arrival, the attending crew requested a further two appliances which have been mobilised from Hayle and Perranporth.

Update at 22:10hrs - This is now Make Pumps 6.

Update at 00:00hrs - 6 appliances and 2 officers remain on scene. Fire crews are using jets to extinguish the fire in the commercial property. A full evacuation has taken place. Devon and Cornwall Police are also in attendance and have set up a cordon. We are asking members of public to avoid the incident and we advise local residents to close doors and windows for the time being.
