At midday, Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service Control received a call from a neighbour reporting smoke coming from a property window. Appliances from Truro and Tolvaddon were mobilised. Crews used four breathing apparatus and two hose reels to extinguish the fire.

A fire investigation found the fire had started in a tumble dryer and was contained to the appliance.
