Make Pumps 4 & Water Carrier One

Crews from Penzance, St Ives, Tolvaddon, Hayle and Helston are in attendance at a residential fire in Lelant Downs.

Crews report a 2 storey building well alight and are working with the support of two whole time officers to bring the fire under control.

Update 21:00 - Five fire appliances are now in attendance with one water carrier. The incident ground has been sectorised and the property involved is a two storey bungalow, the fire is involving the top floor. Firefighters are using 6 breathing apparatus and main jets. Gas and electricity have been isolated to the building and the road outside has been closed by Cornwall Highways.

Update 23:30 - The fire is now confirmed out. Crew members remain on scene monitoring hot spots and damping down where required.
