Oxygen Given To Fish

Firefighters from St Dennis, Perranporth and St Columb have been helping fish in a lake that has been depleted of oxygen. The pumps that usually do this had broken. They used monitors to measure the levels of oxygen in the water and pumped the lake with water from their hosereels to get it moving again - and reoxygenated.
This process took some considerable time before levels of oxygen were up to an acceptable level and the pumps were working again.
