A large quantity of rubbish at the rear of a shop was well alight when a fire crew from Truro arrived. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hosereels to bring the fire under control by midnight. The crew then remained on scene for some time damping down and checking for smoke damage inside Matalan.
