On reports of this incident, an appliance from Mullion was mobilised, on arrival further resources were requested, further appliances from Helston and St. Keverne attended, the crews were faced with gorse and heather burning on half mile fronts, at this time the incident is ongoing and firefighters with the assistance of Royal Navy personnel are using beaters to extinguish the fire. After approximately five hours the initial crews were relieved and appliances from Falmouth and Camborne attended. After the Falmouth and Camborne appliances returned to their home stations, Mullion once again attended and finally returned to their home station at approximately 2000 hours.
